After breakfast, our city guide will take you to the monuments and places that come under the category of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites of Kathmandu. You will visit Kathmandu Durbar Square, where you might see “Kumari”, the living goddess, as well as visit pagoda-style temples. On the other hand, Swayambhunath has a dome-like structure at its base, above which you see a cubical structure. This structure has painted the eyes of Buddha. From Kathmandu, you drive to Nagarkot. The main attractions of this palace are Krishna Temple, Bhimsen temple, Taleju Bhawani temple, and Bishwonath temple. Then, you head off to Khokona, which is a village that represents the richness of the early Malla era (13th century). About 4471 indigenous people inhabit Khokana. The people of this village are involved in making wooden handicrafts. Tourists buy these handicrafts. Khokona also has a museum where you find typical jewelry sets and agriculture farming tools. From here, you move towards Bouddhanath stupa, one of the largest Buddhist stupas in the world, where over 50 Tibetan Gompas or monasteries are located. From there, you head off to Kopan Monastery, which has become especially famous for teaching Buddhism to foreigners. It is perched on Kopan Hill and has become a popular recreational destination for the locals and tourists. Back to the hotel.
After having breakfast, you head off to Chitwan National Park. There, you will be briefed about the jungle tour. There, you will also visit the visitor’s center, as well as see the sunset view from the Rapti River. In the evening, you attend the cultural dance of the Tharu community. Lumbini is a holy pilgrimage, as well as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. One of the main attractions of Lumbini is the Ashoka pillar, which was built by the Indian Emperor, Ashoka, and which has an inscription, mentioning that Lord Buddha was born in Lumbini in Nepal. Maya Devi Temple is another attraction of Lumbini and is more than 3000 years old. Maya Devi was the mother of Lord Buddha. Ranighat is a marvelous building, built on the bank of the Kaligandaki River in the memory of Queen Tej Kumari. There are altogether 25 rooms and 52 artistic windows. After breakfast, you do a full day sightseeing of in Pokhara. This includes walking along the David falls and Mahendra cave, the bank of the Fewa lake, mountain views, and a visit to Bindabasini temple, world peace Stupa, and mountain museum. Overnight stay at the hotel.
