What to Expect

Bhutan, a Buddhist kingdom on the Himalayas’ eastern edge, is known for its monasteries, fortresses (or dzongs), and dramatic landscapes that range from subtropical plains to steep mountains and valleys. In the High Himalayas, peaks such as 7,326 m. Jomolhari is a popular trekking destination. Paro Taktsang monastery (also known as Tiger’s Nest) clings to cliffs above the forested Paro Valley.

The country’s landscape ranges from lush subtropical plains in the south to the sub-alpine Himalayan mountains in the north, where there are peaks in excess of 7,000 meters. Gangkhar Puensum is the highest peak in Bhutan, and it may also be the highest unclimbed mountain in the world. The wildlife of Bhutan is notable for its diversity.

Tour Plan

Day 1 : Arrive Paro, drive to Thimphu.

Upon arrival in Paro, clear customs and immigration. Keep your copy of the visa clearance letter handy. P.P size pictures are no longer required and your visa has been paid.

Meet your guide and driver outside the terminal building and transfer to Thimphu. Stroll around the city in the evening. Stay overnight.

Food Included: Dinner.

Day 2 : Full day sightseeing in Thimphu.

Visit Memorial Chorten, Zilukha Nunnery, Takin Sanctuary, Indigenous Hospital, Textile Museum, and Heritage Museum, Traditional School of arts & crafts, and Tashicho Dzong. Upon an available time, you will also visit the Zangdopelri temple, paper factory, and other sights. Stay overnight.

Foods Included: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner.

Day 3 : Thimphu – Paro

After breakfast, retrace your drive back to Paro. In Paro visit, Tiger’s Nest Monastery (Taktsang) and Farm House, National Museum, and Local Market Stay overnight.

Day 4 : Paro – Depart

After breakfast, transfer to the airport in time for your departure flight to your onward destination.
