The Millennium Trek, as its name suggests is a trekking route that commenced from the beginning of the new millennium; 2000 and is one of the newly explored homestay (village-to-village) trekking trails in the Gandaki Province of Nepal. This trekking route runs from Dulegaunda of Tanahun district to Rambachha of Syangja district. It is a trekking route that traverses through the middle hills of Gandaki Province.
Starting from the height of 420m, this trek route elevates up to the height of 1709m from sea level. It is also known as the Mid Hill ridge-line trek and lies on the southwest of Pokhara and east of Walling Bazaar. Some sightseeing destinations of the trekking route include the Dhor Barahi Temple, the Millennium cave- which is an absolute natural cave with unique underground waterfalls, a mysterious cave at the ancient temples, monasteries, and historical forts.
This trek also provides a unique opportunity for the trekkers to learn Nepali culture. While on the trek, visitors can enjoy various cultural activities like Ghatu, Sorathi, Kauda, Salaijo, Jhora, Thado Bhaka, and Krishna Charitra, among others.
One of the major concerns for most trekkers- the altitude of the trek is also less of a problem here as the highest altitude on this trial is 1602 meters. This trek also offers an opportunity for the visitors to observe and enjoy more than 30 colorful villages within Tanahun and Syanja districts. It is an absolutely strain-free trekking route and anyone with a good physique can do the trekking irrespective of their ages.

The trek followed by the Rock Garden, Tibetan Refugee Camp, and the Dhor Barahi Temple before reaching the final destination of Rajsthala.
Early morning wake up to a beautiful view of the sunrise and visit the Dhor Durbar and visit Magar Nas, Lakuribot (which is a Gurung Hill Park), the beautiful village of Lama Gaun, the historic summer palace at Babiya Danda followed by the Millennium Cave at Ghaderi which is a fascinating cave with underground waterfalls.
Today trekking can be a little challenging as compared to the other days as it is an up-hill trek but the mesmerizing view of the beautiful village of Kalkhu and the view of the Himalayas from there can help soothe the pain away.
The landmarks along the route are Kalkhu, a Magar village, Raipur, followed by the destination of Pokharichhap.
The attractions around Pokharichhap/ Kolma included the Kolmakot temple, Sunrise from the top, panoramic view of the Himalayas, Bird watching, the Kailash cave, and the Tea and Coffee gardens around the settlement. The places to enjoy around here are the Manakamana temple, Nakachu, Chyamsolama, the Historical summer palace of Darau King, and Parthung. The final destination Pelkachaur is a small village that is inhabited by diverse ethnical groups like Magar, Brahmin, and Chhetri, etc. Danda Gaun of Pelkachaur is also popular for its Himali Cherry.
The trek followed by an uphill walk to the villages. The Majhkot is a beautiful village surrounded by hills all around where one can enjoy the local culture, lifestyle and be a part of daily activities such as cooking washing, drinking, weaving, farming, cattle herding, etc.
Budhakot is the highest point of the Millennium trek and provides a different kind of bliss altogether with the beautiful view of the sunrise and sunset from the view tower of the place. After this starts the descent to Rambachha through the several beautiful villages and numerous attractions followed by Rambachha and Walling from where starts the ride back to Pokhara.
