Detail Itinerary
Day 1
Drive from Kathmandu to Nyalam (3700m) 170 Km
The trip begins with a 4-5 hour drive to Kodari, near the Nepal-China border. The Sino-Nepal Friendship Bridge connects Kodari of Nepal with Zhangmu of Tibet. After crossing the bridge we head to the town of Nyalam situated 40 km from the border.

Day 2
Rest Day for acclimatization Nyalam (3700m)
A day in Nylam gives us enough time for acclimatization and prepares us for the high altitude journey ahead.

Day 3
Drive to Saga (4200m) 232km
The road to Saga climbs up to the La Lung (5124m), dropping down in between and heads west as we cross the Brahmaputra river and arrive in Saga.

Day 4
Drive to Paryang (4500m) 285 km
The drive to Paryang takes us further into the hidden land of Tibet as we follow a trail beside the river, past herds of grazing yaks and sheeps.

Day 5
Drive to Lake Manasarovar (4500m) 298km
Today, a long drive brings us to the holy Manasarovar lake. The lake is a sacred place to both Hindus and Buddhists who believe that the Indus, Ganga, Sutlej and Brahmaputra originated from here.

Day 6
Drive to Tarchen (4600m) 60km
After driving to Tarchen we prepare for our trek around Mt. Kailash and our guide manages a yak and yak man required for the trek.

Day 7
Trek to Dirapuk (4800m)
We trek to Dirapuk via Chukku Gompa and get to enjoy magnificent views of Mt. Kailash in between.

Day 8
Trek to Zutulpuk Gompa (4790m)
A rough trekking trail leads us to the Dolma La Pass (5360m), where we stop for some rest. After spending some time at the pass we head down a steep route to the Zutulpak Gompa.

Day 9
Trek to Tarchen and drive to Manasarovar Camp
A 3 hour hike brings us to Tarchen where our jeeps await to transport us back to our camps at the Mansarovar lake.

Day 10
Rest day at Manasarovar lake (4500m)
The holy Mansarovar lake is located 20 kms from Mount Kailash. Mansarovar is a sacred place to both Hindus and Buddhists who believe that the Indus, Ganga, Sutlej and Brahmaputra originated from this lake.

Day 11
Drive to Paryang (4500m) 298km
From the lake we drive for about 8 hours to reach Paryang.

Day 12
Drive to Saga (4200m) 285km
Another long day at the road brings us back to Saga.

Day 13
Drive back to Nyalam or Zhangmu (3700m) 232km

Day 14

Drive back to Kathmandu
